My name is Jeremy Parzen, nice to meet you!

Hi. My name is Jeremy Parzen and I am the author of a number of wine blogs. My primary blog is Do Bianchi.

I’ve worked as a wine writer since 1998 and I’ve been blogging about wine since 2006.

I moved to Texas to marry Tracie P, whom I met through wine blogging!

Originally from California, I lived in Italy and New York for 20 years before moving to Texas 3 years ago.

Italian wine is my main interest and focus.

I wonder if people in Texas (and its wine community) realize how active and vibrant this community is and especially what a tremendous educational activity Texsom presents to people in (and out) of the trade that interested in learning more about wine.

See you Sat through Mon…..I’m looking forward to it.

Here is a link to my first Texsom back in 2008. It is my early attempts at field blogging and some of it (as I read it now) if pretty rough. See:

In fact, you can tell by the post number how early in my blogging activity this was! But, those of you that are just starting to blog, this is where it all starts. Blog often, post interesting and content filled material, tell your story (in your voice) and they will come. Link your blog to other social media sites: particularly Facebook and Twitter. VintageTexas is a good example of this method. When I started, I never thought that a blog devoted to Texas wines would have been as actively read as it is today.

Hopefully, I will do better this weekend than I did back in 2008.

P.S. Word of wisdom to new bloggers: drop the word “nice” as an adjective (there are other more exciting words out there), use spell check (sometime I forget), check for noun-verb agreement, and if you say something is better, finish with telliing the reader, better than what.
